TEK at Multicoat Print, Bristol
Multicoat Print in Bristol enlisted the services of TEK to aid in cooling their small office and printing machine. The company has been expanding over the last few years, becoming a market leader for printing services in the Bristol area.
Multicoat Print’s requirements
TEK met with the Multicoat team to discuss their requirements and analyse their office space.
The application of the room was for a printing machine with occupancy of 3-4 people with dimensions being 16m x 4mx 2.4m high. TEK fully assessed the area and determined the needs, calculating heat gains and cooling loads necessary to meet the demand of the application.
TEK air conditioning installation
TEK decided to install 2 wall mounted split systems. This type of unit was selected due to the lack of ceiling void to incorporate the ceiling cassettes. Adapting to the dimensions of the area, wall mounted systems were mounted in positions where they could get maximum efficiency and air distribution to cover the whole space.
Pipework and services were installed within containment and ran to the external condensing unit, which was approximately 10m away. The condensing unit was mounted on new external bracketry at a level where maintenance could be carried out easily and accessibly for future maintenance visits.
Once the units were commissioned and set to work, the air cooling and heating functions were left to run at the client’s requested set points.
The result
TEK’s extensive experience with installing air conditioning units for both large and smaller companies meant the installation was a success. The work was carried out by two engineers and lasted approximately 3 days to ensure a seamless and successful air conditioning installation. The client was very happy with TEK’s installation, customer service and overall function of the systems fitted.
