We offer a design and installation service for the full range of heat pumps including: Air Source, Ground Source or Water Source.
Air Source
These are renewable energy efficient and have been approved as such by
the EU. These are inverter driven compressors which are capable of offering both
heating and cooling simultaneously. Where required the heat recovery can be used
for pre-heating of hot water.
Further use of these high performance units is that of boiler replacement, particularly
when there are oil fired or basic gas fired boilers. These new highly efficient
units can provide water in excess of 65C, which is excellent for retro fitting to
existing central heating systems.
Ground Source
These have excellent operating performance
making use of the earth’s geothermal energy to provide similar capabilities as air
source machines. These units may not be suitable for all locations and require a
ground analysis to ensure correct conditions.
Water Source
These units require a large volume water source (lake or river) for optimum
performance, and may be subject to licensing restrictions. However, where they are
used they are the most efficient for heat transfer.
Running Costs
We can advise on running costs between each type of system in order to maximise performance for minimal capital and operating cost.

Heat Pumps
“Altherma Heat Pumps are Daikin’s leading edge technology highly efficient air source heat pumps. These are ideal for domestic and small commercial situations. They are suitable for oil or gas boiler replacement, producing hot water for under floor water or radiator heating .
The C.o.P (coefficient of performance or energy efficiency) of these units can be as high as 4.*
(i.e. for each kilowatt of energy consumed, four kilowatts of useful heat will be produced).
