Renewable Energy for a greener future

We are able to offer 10kW and 20kW wind turbines, subject to site suitability these
are generally not suitable for urban areas but ideal for exposed commercial sites.
A 10kW turbine is typically appropriate for smaller requirements or where planning,
grid restrictions or cost may mandate a smaller turbine.
A typical fully installed cost would be between £30,000 and £35,000 depending on
local conditions.
A 20kW turbine is ideally suited to the more power hungry needs
of farms, larger domestic rural properties, schools, council premises and commercial
properties, generating approximately 30MWh on an average site, and more in windier
locations.
A typical fully installed cost would be between £50,000 and £60,000 depending
on local conditions.
With these systems there are grants on offer at £1,000 per Kw
capacity up to £5,000.
Payback would be £750 to £1,000 worth of electricity each
year.

Location
Although ideally suited for exposed sites at higher altitudes, wind turbines are available in a variety of blade configurations and patterns to suit less ideal locations.

Heat from Wind
One economic application for smaller wind turbines, especially for remote buildings and some domestic applications is the direct connection to an electric heating appliance (it being likely that cold weather is associated with windier conditions).
This can be done without the need for inverters and completely independent of mains power.
