Total Environmental Kooling offer a design and installation service for the full range of heat pumps including: Air Source, Ground Source or Water Source.
Total Environmental Kooling have MCS Approved Installer Status for Heat Pumps. This is necessary in order to benefit from the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) and the Renewable Heat Premium Payment (RHPP) .
We install Air Source and Ground Source Heat Pumps throughout Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire, Somerset, the Cotswolds, Wiltshire and surrounding areas.
Air Source Heat Pump
Air Source Heat Pumps can be used for boiler replacement, particularly
when there are oil fired or basic gas fired boilers. These new highly efficient
units can provide water in excess of 65C, which is excellent for retro fitting to
existing central heating systems.
We offer the latest in efficient heat pumps. For example the latest Daikin Altherma High Temperature system enables the Heat Pump to run with water at up to 80 degrees for heating BUT have a continuous supply of Domestic Hot Water at +60 degrees C at the same time.
Air Source Heat Pump Demonstrator
We have a demo Daikin Altherma High Temperature system installed as a oil boiler replacement in the Cotswolds which is running efficiently at 55 degrees to radiators and hot water to tank despite recent temperatures down to -8 degrees. The system is very flexible as you can directly program the temperature you want for your radiators and hot water cylinder (up to 80 degrees).
Ground Source Heat Pump
Ground Source Heat Pumps have excellent operating performance making use of the earth’s geothermal energy to provide similar capabilities as air source machines. These units may not be suitable for all locations and require a ground analysis to ensure correct conditions.
Water Source
These units require a large volume water source (lake or river) for optimum
performance, and may be subject to licensing restrictions. However, where they are
used they are the most efficient for heat transfer.

“Altherma Heat Pumps are Daikin’s leading edge technology highly efficient air source heat pumps. These are ideal for domestic and small commercial situations. They are suitable for oil or gas boiler replacement, producing hot water for under floor water or radiator heating .
The C.o.P (coefficient of performance or energy efficiency) of these units can be as high as 4.*
(i.e. for each kilowatt of energy consumed, four kilowatts of useful heat will be produced).
